Jun. 3--A Lake Oswego-based design and engineering firm said Wednesday that it has opened two offices in Iraq to take on engineering projects and to train engineers and architects in that nation's reconstruction efforts.
Otak Inc., co-founded by Iraqi-born Nawzad Othman, opened offices this week in Baghdad and Irbil, Othman's hometown, in the Kurdish area of northern Iraq. The company joins a handful of U.S.-based companies that have opened offices in the war-torn country.
