The Mission Valley Inn is not closing down.
It just may look that way.
The inn's parent company, Atlas Hotels Inc., is "reducing the inventory" of rooms at the Mission Valley Inn, but it's not shutting down the hotel completely, said Hank Hoxie, vice president of administration for Atlas.
That means that only a specified number of rooms will be available to guests. Hoxie said he didn't know how many of the hotel's 210 units would be closed. But a source who asked not to be identified said all but 26 of the rooms would be closed. Hoxie said he didn't know if 26 was an accurate number.
