The Chevrolet division of General Motors is putting a premium on performance.
During a visit with the Midwest Automotive Media Association this month, Jim Campbell, Director of Chevrolet Car Marketing, made note of a new emphasis for the volume-leading Chevrolet division, which is introducing 10 new products in a 20-month period.
The SS (or Super Sport) high-performance packages will soon grace a greater number of Chevrolet cars while the Z71 designation finds its way to Chevrolet trucks adding high performance characteristics. "These badged products must have more go than show," Campbell said.
