His arrest last year on allegations that he sexually abused more than a dozen women wasn't the first time Roger Eugene Magana tangled with the law.

The disgraced former Eugene police officer was arrested in 1982 in connection with the burglary of a woman's Bertelsen Road apartment. He was 19 and unemployed at the time.

Magana and two other men were accused of removing a window screen and entering the apartment on Aug. 24, 1982, while a fourth man stood guard outside, according to a Eugene police report obtained through a public records request.
