May 30--When Laura Hart started to figure out her family's summer vacation plans, she paid careful attention to the effect of rising gas prices on her budget.
The difference, it turned out, was about $12 on a trip to Austin.
"It's just not a make-or-break kind of thing," the McKinney resident said.
Gasoline prices may have reached historic highs, but they're not expected to keep U.S. travelers from hitting the road for their summer vacations.
