PHILADELPHIA _ Really, how hard does this sound? Win three races in five weeks.
Why then has no horse been able to do it since 1978? Because it is way harder than it sounds.
First, a horse only gets one chance. There is no next year. There are no do-overs.
Only three-year-olds are eligible for the Triple Crown.
One bad break and it is over. One misjudged ride and it is done. One poorly timed injury and a horse is out.
