Jun. 3--LODI, Calif. -- Equipment failures and increasing costs are closing down a decadeslong dining tradition in downtown Lodi.
After 50 years in business, the Cottage Bakery on South School Street is shutting its doors likely for good.
"We realize it's been an institution," owner Terry Knutson said Wednesday. "But it's high energy, high labor and capital intensive. It's better for me to lock the door."
