Jun. 6--SPRINGFIELD, Vt. -- A stolen boat. Miles of duct tape. More cardboard than can be found on campus when students are moving into the dorms. Cold, mucky water.
Sounds like an interesting mix, especially when statements like this can be heard now and again on a bullhorn: "I need someone who likes riding the Snot Thing."
The third annual River Valley Technical Center cardboard boat races took to the small pond behind Springfield High School under sunny skies Friday.
