Jun. 8--Six months ago, Councilwoman Cindy Miscikowski couldn't get Mayor James Hahn or his people to listen to her plans to slow down the $9.1 billion modernization plan for Los Angeles International Airport.
Funny what a little controversy -- like two grand juries looking at contracting procedures and a public outcry -- can do to change all that.
Last week, Miscikowski was asked by Los Angeles World Airports officials to fly to Washington, D.C., to outline her proposal to worried Federal Aviation Administration officials.
