San Diego County has selected Cushman Realty to help negotiate leases on 190 sites for its various agencies.
During the next two years, Cushman will help such county agencies as the district attorney's office and the Department of Planning and Land Use stretch their lease dollars. Cushman will renegotiate some of the county's existing leases, look for new locations and help plan expansion.
County officials don't know exactly how much space they will need, but brokers familiar with the proposal say the county could easily take 1 million square feet of office space. If Cushman can negotiate an average discount of 40 cents per square foot a month -- a typical ...
