In December 1991, the Lintern Corp. took a major step toward achieving its goal of phasing out the use of ozone-depleting chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) in all of its products. That's when this Ohio-based manufacturer of industrial refrigeration systems announced the introduction of a new line of severe-duty air conditioning equipment that uses Du Pont "Suva Chill-LP" (hydrochlorofluorocarbon-124).
