The folks who live on Stagecoach Road won't have to drive an extra 28 miles each way this summer to get to and from their homes, but they may not get much in the way of road improvements, either.
Residents kicked up a fuss a month ago when it appeared that repairs to a chronic slide area along the road might mean closing Stagecoach Road at its intersection with Highway 126 east of Mapleton for two months.
The residents complained that especially now, with gasoline prices so high, driving nearly 60 miles extra every time they needed to go someplace didn't make much sense. They also ...
