U.S. dairy product exporters could substantially increase sales to Brazil, Canada, El Salvador, Japan and Mexico without foreign country trade barriers, according to USDA's Trade Policies and Market Opportunities for U.S. Farm Exports, 1990 Annual Report. Dairy products sales to Morocco, Peru, Turkey and the Soviet Union also would increase in a free-trade arena, but countries other than the United States probably would pick up those sales by undercutting U.S. prices.
