Photographs convey multiple layers of information through the recorded trace of one fleeting moment that can appear either artistically expressive or plainly documentary Photography, however, is needed for purposes of investigation, thereby upholding it as a source that functions as a visual index to facts that are often within the daily periphery. In this context, the image evolves from being an aesthetically subjective object to one that is certifiably a factual testimony of historical importance.
