The Brazilian glass manufacturer Cebrace (Companhia Brasileira de Cristal) - j.v. between the English Pilkington and the French Saint-Gobain Vidros - is to inaugurate its new industrial site for the production of flat steel in Barra Velha (Santa Catarina state). The company invested US$120mil in the new plant. Largest part of the resources - not disclosed - came from Pilkington and Saint Gobain and the other part from the Brazilian development bank BNDES (Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Economico e Social).
