Jun. 9--The Fort Worth City Council unanimously gave approval Tuesday for the city manager to execute a new three-year contract with the Convention & Visitors Bureau that for the first time requires the bureau to provide performance-based measurements.

The format of the new contract differs from previous ones in several ways.

The contract is for three years rather than five years.

The bureau will have to submit an annual marketing plan that includes measurable performance goals for the coming fiscal year.
