NEW DELHI, June 10 Asia Pulse - Owing to a global fall in edible oil prices, government is expected to bring down the base price or tariff value on which the duty is imposed on the commodity.
"The landed price of crude palm oil (CPO) is around US $425 a tonne against the base price for duty purpose at US $504 a tonne. A cut in the tariff value is expected any time now," General Secretary, Rajdhani Vegeteable Oils Suppliers Association, Sat Narain Agarwal said here.
He said the price of degummed soyabean oil (DSO) has also come down to around US $550 a tonne, cost, insurance and freight (CIF) at Kandla, US $78 lower than the base price of US a tonne at ...
