This pamphlet, to be part of a forthcoming book, is clearly a stab at the regimented corporate approach to presenting and sharing information--right down to its cover illustration of Stalin Square in Budapest, with ranks of soldiers in rigid formation and Stalin himself (or rather, his statue) asking for the "next slide, please." The theme is laid down in the second paragraph of page 3, where Tufte states:
Alas, slideware often reduces the analytical quality of presentations.
