The Los Angeles-based Builder's Hardware Finishers, a metal plating company, was ordered to pay $116,532 to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, by federal Judge J. Spencer Letts.
The judgment consisted of $91,532 to cover EPA cost in cleaning up Builder's Hardware site, following a 1988 fire at the facility, and a $25,000 civil fine.
