Jun. 11--The number of boarding passengers at Myrtle Beach International Airport in May rose almost 24 percent from May 2003 as the airport continues to show strong increases month-over-month.
For the year, passenger traffic at the airport is up more than 31 percent from the same time last year.
"I think it's just a reflection of the rebound of traffic at the airport," said airport director Bob Kemp.
Kemp does not see any signs of traffic waning, even as some airlines adjust schedules and service.
