CANBERRA, June 11 Asia Pulse - Australian wool growers have started their own investigation into better ways to lift demand for the natural fibre.
The industry's peak body, WoolProducers, have called for submissions and comments on proposals from research and promotional companies about better ways to sell wool.
The industry is suffering from a continuing downturn in demand from the fabric industry, while the strengthening Australian dollar is also making life difficult on international markets.
Australian Wool Innovation and the Woolmark Company have both set out initiatives to boost demand for wool.
