Jun. 12--Sahamongkol Film International Co (SFI), a leading Thai-owned movie distributor, yesterday said it had severed business ties with Major Cineplex Plc, citing the country's largest cinema operator's discrimination of Thai movies.
SFI Chairman Somsak Techaratanaprasert, also president of the Federation of Thai Film Producers, said that the company would stop supplying films to the Major Cineplex chain over various outstanding issues including poor treatment and scheduling for the company's Thai films.
