MCLEAN, Va., June 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) announced today it has been awarded a contract to support the supply, installation, commissioning and testing of an optical character recognition (OCR) system, which will provide automated identification of inbound containers and license plates at Caminhos de Ferro Portugueses (Portuguese Railways), EP's Bobadela terminal in Lisbon, Portugal. SAIC will serve as a subcontractor to EFACEC Sistemas de Electronica, Portugal's largest electronics and electromechanics service provider.
