Jun. 15--A California company ensnared in a legal tangle with Vancouver-based Nautilus Group has filed its own claim that threatens to strip the Bowflex name from Nautilus' product line-up.
Savvier, a privately held company in Carlsbad, Calif., wants a federal judge to rule it has the right to use the name Body Flex for its product and that the name, despite it sounding similar to Bowflex, causes no confusion to consumers. The company also wants Nautilus to stop using the Bowflex name in markets in which the two products compete.
