The going rate for the new college football title game has yet to be determined, bribes and greed running contrary to the lofty purpose of finding the best football team on campus.
But there will be a newly named championship game, and before corporate America gets into the bidding, I would like to offer my name over the title. Bernie Bowl has a nice sound to it, very alliterative, and I have done my time in service.
My bid is $1.98, cash, no checks, for the Bernie Bowl. And since it is my bowl, I pick Hawaii.
Why not? I have been in more bowl press boxes and hospitality rooms than there ...
