NEW YORK, June 15 /PRNewswire/ -- As 70 million Americans complain of sleep problems and the impact they have on their mental and emotional health, a new survey shows that when it comes to the link between shut-eye and mental health, sleeplessness may be the symptom, not the problem.
Bipolar disorder, a mental illness involving episodes of depression and mania, is one illness linked to lack of sleep and according to a new survey from the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance, sleep disturbance is one of the most common problems associated with the illness.
