Rasheed Wallace turns his back to his teammates and swings open his arms to the crowd upon his formal pregame introduction from deep throat, John Mason, a local radio jock and the "Deee-troit PIS-TONS' baaasketball" public address announcer at the Palace of Auburn Hills. Best known for his classic "Buh-Buh-Buh-Buh-Buh-Ben Wallace" enunciation, Mason is now lifting the energy level in the building from his courtside pulpit with his signature intro for the other Wallace. And, in this case, the introduction is absolutely necessary because few in the basketball world have seen this side of 'Sheed.
