Some public libraries in South Hampton Roads plan to begin using Internet filters on all computers next month that will prevent children and adults from accessing sexually explicit material.
Norfolk and Chesapeake public libraries will use the software to comply with a new federal law that withholds Internet funding from libraries that fail to install anti-pornography filters. The goal is to shield children from sexually explicit material.
