Jun. 14--Fort Walton Beach High School is borrowing an idea from major colleges and professional sports teams in order to fund construction of its football stadium.
As a way to raise half of the private money needed to build the stadium, the school will sell naming rights to the facility that will replace tiny Viking Field.
The asking price: $500,000.
Offering naming rights to corporate sponsors or individuals is an idea that has been popular at the collegiate and professional levels for at least the past decade. Companies gain ...
