N.J. Bell, Suburban Exchange Charges
New Jersey Bell has filed a complaint with the state's Board of Regulatory Commissioners (BRC) charging Suburban Cablevision with blocking a telephone company advertisement for a $1 billion infrastructure program until Suburban could prepare a rebuttal.
The complaint was filed on Dec. 9. A day later, the New Jersey Senate held its first hearings on the massive fiber optics plan, which the cable industry vigorously opposes.
Frank DeJoy, general manager of Suburban Cablevision, is the president of the New Jersey Cable Television Association. He could not be reached for comment at press time.
