BOSTON -- Ellis Burks saw the celebration on that festive February day and could only wonder. He was in Boston taking the physical that would finalize his 2004 contract with the Red Sox and bring Burks full circle in his major league playing career.
The New England Patriots had returned home after winning the Super Bowl. Burks turned on the television in his hotel room and saw the parade for the Patriots.
