Jun. 16--Gasoline prices have dropped slightly across the nation, but Santa Barbara County is among the areas showing the least movement toward relief from record-high pump costs.
After two months of record price hikes, gas prices at the stations appear to be on a downward trend, which should continue for much of the summer, according to the Automobile Club of Southern California.
The average price for regular unleaded gas in the Los Angeles area fell almost 2 cents at the end of last week to $2.35 from its record high of nearly $2.37 set on May 28. In San Diego, the price shed 3 cents off its record of $2.37 to $2.34 last ...
