Jun. 16--In the debate about future federal highway funding, Rep. Nick J. Rahall, D-W.Va., wants rural states like West Virginia to continue receiving the same share of money from the Highway Trust Fund.
Congress is debating legislation to reauthorize the federal highways program for another six years. West Virginia could lose $200 million in federal highways funds under legislation backed by House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, R-Texas.
