May 26--When Rick Weddle arrived in Arizona in 1997 as the president and chief executive of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council, the organization was in shambles and the new leader had to rebuild it from the bottom up.
That's not a challenge that Weddle faces in his new role as president and CEO of the Research Triangle Foundation, which manages the 7,000-acre Research Triangle Park.
"Research Triangle Park has a long and storied track record of success," Weddle said Tuesday. "Now we need to figure out how to move from where we are to whatever is the next level."
