MORE THAN one in five Britons will die before they can draw their pensions if proposals to raise the retirement age to 70 go through, according to research published today by the TUC.
The study found 20pc of us die before we reach 70 - and in deprived parts of the country this rises to more than a third. Nationally, a third of men fail to see their 70th birthday - in poorer areas, it's half.
