Consumer consumption and demand will influence the global red meat market in the coming years more than science-based facts when dealing with the impact of diseases such as bovine spongiform encephalopathy, or BSE, an official with Rabobank International said to World Meat Congress Attendees in Winnipeg.
Peter Greenberg, Managing Director and Head of Corporate Banking with Rabobank International in Toronto, said that consumers world-wide are looking for clarity with regards to the science-based food health/safety debate.
