Apr. 15--The lack of quality vendors, too many kids and unhappy merchants are cited as factors in the demise of the Glendora Farmers' Market this year.

A decision to close the 5-year- old operation, which would have started this year on May 6, was made after a recent survey by the market's volunteer board.

The market could reopen next year, officials said, adding that a committee may look into options such as a new location, holding the market on a different day and eliminating arts and crafts vendors and entertainment.
