May 13--DANBURY, Conn. -- Western Connecticut Wednesday took its best shot at convincing state officials that Danbury Hospital should be offering advanced cardiac services. The reason most cited: equity.
Hospital administrators, political officials, business and community leaders and members of the general public attended a public hearing and continually stressed that residents of Greater Danbury deserve the same access to advanced cardiac services as people who live in or near Hartford, Bridgeport and New Haven.
