May 11--An ambitious expansion plan for Baxter Pharmaceutical Solutions in Bloomington will make the medical company the largest contract manufacturer of pre-filled syringes in the country.
Last month, Baxter officials and local government and business representatives celebrated the completion of the first phase of a 120,000-square-foot building expansion at Baxter's Curry Pike campus.
At the same time, Baxter is converting the former Columbia House office building in the Park 48 industrial park into a packaging facility that will soon house 500 workers.
