MIAMI _ Certainly the White Sox have missed All-Star outfielder Magglio Ordonez, but the trio of Aaron Rowand, Timo Perez and Ross Gload have filled in about as well as could be expected.
"The outfield has been great," Sox manager Ozzie Guillen said. "The best one hasn't even played (much), that's Rowand."
Rowand is hitting .405 in his last 15 games, but those games have been spread out as Guillen has used left-handed hitters Perez and Gload most of the time against right-handed pitchers.
Rowand was on the bench to start Thursday's game against Florida right-hander Josh Beckett with Perez getting the start in center ...
