To say he is modest or self-effacing is an understatement when talking about entrepreneur Marshall Merrifield. He describes himself as a doorknob salesman who's now trying to market cell phones.
That's technically true, but Merrifield also serves as the CEO and president of three distinct companies based in San Diego.
One of Merrifield's companies, General Lock & Security, makes doorknobs as part of its business. Another is Clark Security Products, which distributes security systems, including surveillance cameras.
