2004 JUN 23 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Xanodyne Pharmaceuticals introduced hycet (hydrocodone bitartrate and acetaminophen), a combination liquid pain reliever featuring the lowest level of acetaminophen in any oral solution.
Acetaminophen is a widely used pharmaceutical analgesic; however, excessive intake of acetaminophen has been linked to liver damage. As a result, hycet was formulated to provide a lower level of acetaminophen while still delivering the efficacy of a hydrocodone/acetaminophen product. The lower level of acetaminophen in hycet will assist the physician in shaping the dosing to a patient's need.
