2004 JUN 26 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- The American Dietetic Association (ADA) and Dietitians of Canada (DC) have issued a joint position statement on women's nutritional needs.
Women are at risk for numerous chronic diseases and other health problems that affect many lives each year. There are approximately 150 million women, diverse in age, ethnicity, and race, in the United States and Canada.
The joint ADA and DC statement, published in the June 2004 Journal of the American Dietetic Association says:
