Using its banking might in Europe and its established European large cap financial sponsor relationships as a springboard, BNP Paribas plans to build even more large cap financial sponsor relationships in the US. The arrival earlier this month of Geoffrey Manna, BNP Paribas' new managing director in leveraged finance, speaks to this objective (BLR, 6/14). "One of the things that was important to me when joining BNP Paribas was their increasing market presence with large cap financial sponsors," Manna said.
