The supposed fun adventure to the treacherous Mt. Pulag in Benguet eventually became a game of attrition. One by one, the participants of the four-day Mt. Pulag D-MAXimum Drive of Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) backed out in the last minute citing varied reasons from work-related matters, health condition to simple fear.
Everyone knew that it would be a tough climb to the countrys second highest peak, 2,922 meters above sea level. Mt. Apo, the highest mountain in the country, only has 70 meters more than Mt. Pulag.
