Apr. 27--GLENDORA, Calif. -- Elected officials on Monday say they will continue to woo Foothill Transit to move its headquarters into their city when the company's lease in West Covina expires in 2005.
At last week's executive board meeting, Glendora Mayor Cliff Hamlow and Councilman Mike Conway addressed the five- member panel saying the 15- year-old company is a good match for the city.
Even though Glendora will not make any money on the deal, officials want to increase the city's daytime population in an effort to bring in big-name restaurants and businesses to bolster its tax-revenue base.
