Rob Lowe the Vampire Slayer?
The former Brat Packer, most recently seen in NBC's "The Lyon's Den," sinks his teeth into TNT's remake of Stephen King's "Salem's Lot" (airing Sunday and Monday at 8 p.m.). Lowe stars as Ben Mears, a morally conflicted writer who returns to his hometown to face his demons and ends up facing demons.
"Rob Lowe as the lead is an interesting choice," executive producer Mark M. Wolper said. "I thought, `Let's show America the Rob Lowe that they don't expect to see, not the clean-cut Rob Lowe. I told him, `Rob, don't choose to do this movie unless you're willing to let us mess you up.' "
