Huawei Technologies announced that the company won China Telecom's national backbone contract. The purpose of this project is to optimize the Guangdong Provincial 163 Backbone Network. According to the contract, Huawei's high-end router NE5000 won 100 percent market share of the TSR procurement contract (totalling 10 sets) and successfully entered into two super nodes of the national backbone. Meanwhile, Huawei's gigabit switching router NE80 won 75 percent market share in this project.
