DOCTORS didn't hold much hope for Vanessa Baxter Jones as she languished in a deep coma. But the plucky survivor defied all odds to cheat death and prove medical experts wrong.

The 31-year-old aid worker was lucky to be alive following a 60 feet plunge from an Albanian guest house.

After lying in a coma for two months she slowly emerged and vowed to make the most of her miraculous second chance. It was to be a tough battle, but the Glasgow University graduate was glad to be alive.
