THROUGH, the years, many highway construction projects have been undertaken by state transportation departments to complete Interstate 90 coast to coast. In the Northwest, the interstate winds through various scenic landscapes, including northern Idaho. The Bennett Bay Centennial Bridge - part of 15 miles of new I-90 construction east of Coeur d'Alene in Idaho - is located in a visually sensitive area and had to esthetically complement the locale.
